A few days ago Yukio express a little nervousness about his shakuhachi being on a warm stage for two hours so I made him a PVC 1.8. These flutes can play very well, especially for the experienced player. Some teachers will allow a student to start with one and some professional shakuhachi craftsmen in Japan make them. I have made many for beginning students and professional players. I recently made a few for a shakuhachi teacher and they were such a hit that he order 20! I also made a batch for an ordained Zen monk in Japan. You never know who may like a pvc shakuhachi!

These simple flutes are not normally offered for sale to the general public here as working with bamboo is my love.
