Plug and Move Finger Holes

Sometimes holes are drilled in the wrong position and the best thing to do is to move it. In this case, the hole needs to be plugged and then redrilled. I make bamboo plugs to fit over the existing hole. They are glued with two ton epoxy. The new hole is finished with Urushi lacquer.

Sometimes a hole needs to be enlarged for tuning or response. This is $60 per hole and includes urushi lacquer to finish, unless an alternative lacquer is requested.
